Friends members
The Friends of Lower Macungie Library was established in May 2010 with the following purpose:
Meetings
Meetings are held in the library on Saturday mornings, typically in September through May. Dates are posted on the library Events calendar.
Membership
Dues are $10 per calendar year. Members have an exclusive preview of book sale items at the Friends Preview Night.
You can apply for membership and renew online or by scanning the QR code below. If preferred, you can also print the form below and pay by mail (check) or in-person at the library Circulation Desk (cash or check).

Book Sales
Normally two book sales are held every year in the library in early May and late November. Super deals on fiction, non-fiction, audios, movies and childrenโs books. Most are priced from $.50 to $4.00. All proceeds benefit the library.
Donations
We accept:
Gently used books, puzzles,games, DVDs, CDs, and Audiobooks.
We CANNOT accept:
Magazines
Newspapers
Textbooks
Encyclopedias
Reader’s Digest Condensed Books

To date, we have given $160,000 for special projects including the Leadership Gift to the Campaign to Transform LML. These funds have supported the following initiatives at the library:
- juvenile digital audiobooks collection (Vox & Wonderbooks)
- various museum passes
- Library of Things collection
- Consumer Reports database
- Public copier/printer lease
- library programming
- staff development
- redesign projects of the library website
- library catalog iPad kiosks
- Alburtis book drop
- general technology needs
