Cataloging Librarian (part-time)
Lower Macungie Library is seeking an innovative, energetic and personable individual to perform cataloging duties. We are looking for someone who loves finding the best ways to organize and process our collection to meet our community’s needs and who will work collaboratively with other library staff.
Qualifications:
- MLS/MLIS from an ALA-accredited program and one (1) or more years professional cataloging experience, OR Bachelor’s degree and three (3) or more years professional cataloging experience
- Extensive experience in original and copy cataloging of print and non-print materials according to RDA, AACR2, MARC 21, LCSH and Dewey classification
- Experience working in an Integrated Library System (ILS) (preferably Evergreen)
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong computer skills in a Windows environment and MS Office
This position is part-time, 25 hours per week. Salary commensurate with experience. Benefits include holiday pay and PTO.

Library Assistant (part-time)
Lower Macungie Library is currently accepting applications for a part-time Library Assistant . We are looking for new members to join our team who align with our core values of commitment to excellence; stellar customer service; and embracing diversity, transparency, and accountability. Public library experience is preferred and flexibility to take on varied shifts as needed. Attendance at a mandatory staff meeting the first Wednesday of every month is required.
This position is part-time, 20 hours per week (days, evenings and Saturdays) with a beginning wage of $13 an hour. Benefits include holiday pay and PTO.

The marketing communications specialist will start by creating a consistent communication strategy to be used with our branding message across all distribution channels.

Reference Librarian (part-time)
Lower Macungie Library is seeking an innovative, energetic and personable individual to provide excellent reference and information services. The Reference Librarian provides reference and reader’s advisory services for patrons, maintains familiarity with the collection and is responsible for collection management of the Nonfiction and Reference collections.
Qualifications:
• MLS/MLIS from an ALA-accredited program
• Experience in reference and readers’ advisory services for patrons
• Experience in collection development
• Experience working in an Integrated Library System (ILS) (preferably Evergreen)
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and consistency
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong computer skills in a Windows environment and MS Office
